The Netherlands is going big on solar, and even bigger when it comes to commercial rooftop solar projects. The country’s Renewable Energy Production Incentive Scheme, also known as 'SDE', has contributed to significant levels of renewable energy deployment. In the 2020 SDE++ round, rooftop solar surpassed ground-mounted applications as the big winner. The rooftop segment is expected to again claim a large share of the pie in the latest SDE++ round, which will be made public later this year.
