White Paper
Estimated reading time: 10 min
Over the last few years, the European solar energy industry has bounced back from a period of stagnated growth. Apart from a renaissance in traditional markets like Italy and Spain, this has also led to the emergence of many new and enticing markets; one of them being the Hungarian PV market.
In 2018 alone, Hungary’s power generation mix welcomed around 400 MW of new PV capacity, more than doubling the solar energy capacity installed up until that year. The country does not plan to stop there as it could potentially reach a total of 2000 MW by the end of 2019, shattering the 2018 record by a large margin.
