Huawei is a top-three global BESS integrator and BloombergNEF Tier 1 supplier.

During our visit to their Qingpu Exhibition Hall and New Energy Grid Lab in Shanghai’s Qingpu District, we'll get an inside look at the company’s role in the global energy storage and power electronics landscape. The Exhibition Hall introduces Huawei’s smart PV, energy storage, and grid-forming solutions, alongside the digital technologies connecting equipment, power plants, EVs, and electricity networks. 

At the New Energy Grid Lab, participants will gain insight into how Huawei develops and validates grid-forming technologies designed to support renewable integration, system stability, and the operation of weak or isolated grids. The visit will offer a closer look at performance testing of grid-forming energy storage systems and power grid solutions.

We'll be visiting Nanjing facilities for an inside look at the grid technologies enabling utility-scale battery storage projects. During our visit, we'll explore SAC’s campus and discover how advanced automation, protection, and energy management technologies support the integration of large-scale energy storage. The tour will spotlight substation automation, power system control, grid protection, and digital solutions used across power generation and electricity networks. Participants will also experience SAC’s integrated PV, battery storage, and EV-charging platform in operation, offering a real-world demonstration of intelligent energy management within a zero-carbon industrial environment. The campus visit will further provide insight into SAC’s collaboration with ABB in developing power-grid automation technologies.

In the morning, we'll meet them at their offices in Hefei to learn about the company's strategy and receive a proper introduction before heading to their factory in the afternoon.
