Webinar
with Theresa Kärtner (Deutscher Bauernverband E.V.) , David Lecoufle (Ecolieu Lacampagne) , Nils Kuchenbuch (Feldwerke)
This webinar brings Agri-PV into focus during the heart of the European growing season — a time when the tension between agriculture and solar is felt most acutely on the ground. Europe continues to lead the global agrivoltaics market, now representing over 40% of total installed capacity. This growth is driven by urgent land-use optimization, increasing climate pressures, and a wave of new EU and national support schemes. Nowhere is this momentum clearer than in Germany — host to this year’s Solarplaza Summit Agri-PV Europe 2025 — where 1 GW of Agri-PV is expected to be deployed by the end of 2025.
Yet despite the promise, the path to large-scale adoption remains complex. Land classification rules are unclear, local permitting is fragmented, and developers still face uncertainty when trying to align solar output with agricultural value — especially as pressure rises to accelerate clean energy deployment without compromising food security or rural livelihoods.
