A Sunny Forecast: Recent Developments in the Romanian Solar Market

Irene is the Policy Officer of RPIA. With a background in International Relations, Political Science, and European Studies, her work focuses on EU regulations and the national energy transition. Irene is preoccupied with policies and initiatives to accelerate the efficient development of solar power and the associated value chain, engaging actively with relevant stakeholders at the domestic and European levels.

Georgiana is the coordinator of RPIA’s Regulatory Working Group, focusing on national legislative developments. She has an experience of over nine years in the energy sector, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power System Engineering and a Master’s in Renewable Power Sources from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest.

Mihaela has more than 18 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions and corporate and commercial law, having assisted Governmental authorities, publicly held companies, as well as domestic and international private entities in a variety of legal matters. She has broad expertise in the energy sector, having coordinated complex investment projects in conventional and renewable energy and assisting many of the key players in the Romanian energy market. Mihaela has also been actively involved in the elaboration of regulations in electricity trading and power generation from renewable energy sources.

Florian is the co-founder of Kraftfeld, focusing on project development and legal matters. He started his career advising international energy companies on their expansion in CEE and built up his expertise in renewable energy while working at an energy investment firm. Florian holds a master's degree in Law from the University of Vienna and a master's degree in Information Technology for Business from the Vienna University of Technology.

Bogdan is Enery Element's Country Manager for Romania, with the main task of developing the local team and projects in the renewable energy sector. With more than ten years of experience in the construction industry, his work focuses on project development and supervision, managing operations for legal licenses/permits/authorizations required by law.

Benefiting from a background in economic sciences, Radu turned his interest and attention to environmental and social policies. In the renewable energy sector, he found the perfect environment to develop his skills and contribute to a more sustainable society. Radu is the Managing Director for Aukera Energy's Romanian branch. Aukera specializes in renewable investments and development in Europe, from early-stage development and co-development to acquiring ready-to-build projects and constructing the projects ourselves. Radu is a board member of the Romanian Wind Energy Association and previously worked as Head of Project Development for wpd Romania.

Andrei is a Board Member of the Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association with a vast experience in the energy sector. He has a degree in Engineering and Project Management, as well as relevant training in battery systems on grid integration. His area of expertise includes Business Development and Regulatory and Institutional Affairs.
