Portugal, a country with one of the highest solar irradiation levels in Europe, is set to experience a massive boom in solar installations. Despite only accounting for 3% of the total power mix, the country’s solar PV industry is expected to bring online 2.7 GW of large-scale solar plants over the next couple of years, mostly conceived as subsidy-free projects

This report is part of the preparation for the Solar Market Parity Portugal conference that Solarplaza will host on 4 July 2019 in Lisbon. The goal of this one-day event is to bring together high-level attendees from the national and international solar industry, ranging from developers and investors to manufacturers and consultants, and together discuss the opportunities present in Portugal’s solar energy market
