IKEA announces large solar installation projects in NJ and MD

IKEA recently announced plans to install solar panels at two of its distribution centers, one in Perryville, Maryland, and another in Westampton, New Jersey. Once the projects are completed, it will bring IKEA's solar presence to 89 percent of its U.S. locations. The completed projects will generate a total of 4.92 megawatts, with an output of 5,933,200 kilowatt hours of electricity - the equivalent of reducing 4,509 tons of carbon dioxide. The company will generate a total of 38 megawatts in the United States once these projects are completed.
