Next Greek PV auction set for December 10

The country's energy regulator has slightly postponed the country's next solar PV & wind tender, which is now scheduled to take place on December 10 (rather than the 4th & 5th). Several of the rules have been updated as well.

Kazakhstan awards 170 MW of solar capacity in first auction

A total of 20 companies submitted 28 bids in Kazakhstan's first solar auction, which awarded 170 MW of capacity over four large-scale solar PV projects. Prices ranged between $0.051 and $0.063 USD / kWh.


Tesla still not ready to scale solar-roof production

Nearly two years after its unveiling, Tesla's solar roof solution is still in the process of design iteration and installation process refinement. According to company statements, it plans to ramp up production quicker during the first half of 2019.


300 MW worth of RenovAr solar contracts signed in Argentina

Three solar power projects that came forth from Argentina's second RenovAr round signed their contracts with wholesale electric market management company CAMMESA.

Enel starts construction work on 127 MW of solar capacity in Spain

Enel Green Power España said it started construction work on three solar PV plants, with a combined capacity of around 126.6 MW, in Spain's Extremadura region.

Allianz acquires 46 MW Portuguese PV plant from WElink Group

Allianz capital will acquire the 46 MW Ourika solar PV project in Southern Portugal, which is up and running and was developed by the WElink Group.

Korean utility installs 3.5 MW floating PV plant

State utility Korea East-West Power (EWP) completed a 3.5 MW floating solar PV project on a water body near a coal ash deposit site at the Dangjin coal-fired power station.
