For many years now, governments around the world have been providing financial incentives to promote solar energy, whilst requiring a laboratory certification for the installed products. Therefore it is critical to source products able to meet the certified quality required by various governments whilst maintaining a competitive price.
The Chinese market occupies the No. 1 position as the largest manufacturing region for solar panels. As a supplying market it delivers very competitive pricing – although information on the market is often inconsistent and hard to obtain.
The ‘Chinese Certified Panel Report’ provides you with a clear understanding of the Chinese certified panel market based on the Chinese PV panel trade service ENF has been involved in since 2006.
Report Target
The report is especially useful for:
- Purchasing departments of retailers, wholesalers, installers looking for different types of suitable panels
- Panel manufacturers looking to benchmark their products against others in the industry
Methodology
ENF’s Trade Department has been keeping a good track of 88 Chinese panel manufacturers, often with records beginning before they had been issued with certification.
Thanks to the close relationship between ENF and the certified companies, based on years of cooperation, ENF is well-positioned to provide this report which covers all Chinese panels that have the required certification to be installed on-grid in European and North American markets.
ENF has sorted information freely available from company websites and combined it with information gathered first hand from individual companies. ENF’s trade department has been collecting and organising this information on the Chinese manufacturers for the past 3 years – and a large amount of additional resource was assigned to ensuring all the specifications collected by the trade team were up-to-date, and in contact many companies whose specification data appeared ambiguous and needed to be verified. In all ENF has directly contacted 13 out of 88 manufacturers to supplement and verify data.
In addition, ENF has verified every certification through checks with 8 different certifying laboratories used by Chinese manufacturers.
Because panel specifications are often displayed in different confusing ways by each manufacturer, technical data collected on each panel has been entered into a standardised format so that all panels from various manufacturers can be compared.
