German Project Developer juwi Has Started Activities in Thailand

Bangkok/Wörrstadt, June 4, 2012. The juwi group, one of the leading project developers for renewable energies, is now present in Thailand and thus further expands its international project business. With a background of 15 years of experience and more than 1,500 realized photovoltaic (PV) projects worldwide, juwi now provides expert solutions to Thailand. juwi ’s product portfolio includes project development, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction), Operation and Maintenance as well as project financing. From June 6 to 9, juwi will showcase its PV solutions at the RE Asia in Bangkok, at booth J129.

The first turn key projects in Thailand and Malaysia are planned to be realized in 2012. juwi will also develop, finance and operate renewable energy power plants as in other countries. “Thailand and Malaysia offer attractive conditions for the PV industry, and 100 percent renewable energies are achievable much earlier than many people are aware of.

We are passionate to contribute to unlock the enormous potential of renewable energies in the region with our international experience”, emphasizes Amiram Roth-Deblon, juwi Regional Director Asia-Pacific.

In March, juwi has set up its subsidiary “juwi Renewable Energies Pte. Ltd.” headquartered in Singapore, the financial center of southeast Asia. Prospectively, the company will support costumers and projects in the entire Asia-Pacific region.

In October 2010, the juwi group has already established a branch office in Bangalore, known as the Indian IT-capital. The renewable energy specialist is realizing solar power plants all over the country. Photovoltaic projects with a total capacity in excess of 100 megawatts (MW) are scheduled to be installed in the coming years. Since 2011, juwi has created a proven track record in Asia with more than 23MWp in five projects in India.
