Taiwan-based solar wafer makers report 1Q12 net losses
DIGITIMES - Taiwan-based solar wafer makers have not been able to climb out of losses since second half of 2011 despite the fact that most solar wafer firms have clear order visibility in recent months.
Green Energy Technology (GET), a solar wafer firm in Taiwan, reported first-quarter net losses of NT$850 million (US$28.99 million), smaller than fourth-quarter 2011 net losses of NT$1.836 billion. Revenues for April were NT$988 million, up by 0.2% on month, according to the firm.
