Press Release
European Panel Manufacturers Sell 250 MWp in 1H 2005
UK, December 1, 2005 - ENF announced today the publication of the sales results of European solar power cell and panel manufacturers. 58 panel manufacturers, and 17 cell manufacturers are covered in the report, of which almost all supplied their sales information directly to ENF.
The report looks at the external sales of cells and panels in Watt Peaks,
as a monthly average of January to June 2005. Panel manufacturers reported
a total of 41.1 MWp sold each month during this period (totaling around 250
MWp over 6 months), with many of them stating that sales in the second half
were much higher. Cell manufacturers reported just 20.3 MWp of sales, primarily
due to many of them using the cells internally rather than selling them to
other companies.
