Solar Choice Welcomes Feed-In Tariff
PRNEWSWIRE - Solar panel installation specialists, Solar Choice have praised the forthcoming introduction of the UK feed-in tariff, which will come into effect in April 2010.
The UK feed-in tariff means that homes or businesses choosing to install solar PV will be paid for every single unit of electricity they generate – including the units they use themselves! The rates at which they will be paid will depend greatly, on the type and size of the system installed, but will start at 29.3p per unit and rise to 41.3p. Any excess units of electricity, generated by the household or business, can be sold back to the grid, for which they will be paid an additional 3p per unit.
