16 MW of Sulfurcell CIS Modules Going to Asia [Germany]
RENEWABLEENERGYWORLD - Berlin The German company Sulfurcell, a producer of Copper Indium Selenide (CIS) thin-film modules, signed agreements this week to supply companies in China and India with 16 megawatts (MW) of product.
The Intel-backed company is currently building a 75-MW manufacturing facility in Berlin. Many companies in the CIS/CIGS thin film space have had troubles scaling up over the last few years. Players like Sulfurcell are now just starting to scale up and ship product in larger volumes.
