The Chinese currency is the Yuan (¥) or Renminbi (RMB), the “People’s money”, which is also referred to as the Kuai. The exchange rate has been “fixed” based on the dollar in a very narrow band for more than a decade, but in 2005, the RMB became a floating currency. Although the actual change of rate was small, it was a clear act by the Chinese government to make a move and give a sign to the international community. The exchange rate when we went to print was US$ 1 : RMB 8.08 // € 1 : RMB 9.55 Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels. Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks and exchange offices).

All inoculations should be up-to-date prior to travel. SolarPlaza strongly advises having your own medical insurance to cover your stay in China since we cannot be held responsible for any costs you may incur should you fall ill or suffer an accident during the Trade Mission. Please consult the appropriate body in your country for additional travel health information.
